Meet the Leaders of Nellmax Civil

Tony Garlett - Director

Tony is a proud member and traditional man of the family group Nyikina and Mangala skin group from Derby to Fitzroy Crossing and up Gibb River country. He gained early experience in plant machinery and earthworks, operating a wide range of equipment. This included scheduling, managing staff and administration.

He then joined the Western Australia police force and has many years’ experience working as an Aboriginal liaison officer.

Tony oversees the Nellmax’s business operations, leveraging his experience in earthworks and plant operation plus his people management, organisation and administration skills gained in the police force.

Tony is based in the Kimberley at the Derby base.

Aaron Garlett - Operations Manager

Aaron has worked in the civil and mining industry for over ten years. He commenced his career as a labourer and then worked his way up to become a very experienced plant operator. There are few pieces of machinery he cannot operate, with all the right tickets, and he has over five years’ experience as a final trim grader operator.

He has successfully managed numerous projects including building rail formations, earthworks for mine site infrastructure and creating internal roads for mine sites. These projects involved leading teams of up to 50 workers.

Aaron’s skill as an operator of multiple machinery types is further enhanced by his experience managing projects and people. He is an incredibly valuable asset to Nellmax and its clients.

Aaron is based in the Wheatbelt at the Merredin base.
